My Procrastinated Gratitude

First, I have to say…I am so sorry for the delay in this post. I have been nominated for several awards from two great blogs and I have procrastinated terribly in posting this wonderful news. I can only blame it on summer. This season is my busiest and when you find me working my hardest on the garden and preserving food. Now that I have successfully blamed an entire season instead of myself…here’s my news!

I have been nominated for TWO awards by coffeepoweredmom who as she says is “getting through the day one cup at a time”. She has nominated me for One Lovely Blog Award AND the Beautiful Blogger Award. I am overwhelmed with gratitude! If you haven’t done so already, you should head over and check out her blog. She has some great money saving ideas, along with DIY projects and some tips for daily fun. I especially enjoyed her Chore Rainbow idea! Thanks again coffeepoweredmom! I raise my cup to you!

I have also been nominated for the Inspiring Blog Award by Spontaneous Tomato (don’t you just love that name??) She is a self proclaimed tomato lover who shares some incredible recipes. Check out her avocado smoothies! Thanks so much for thinking of me for nomination and good eats to you!

We all know the rules that go along with the awards. I must tell you some things about myself and nominate some other blogs for the awards. Fair warning, I simply can’t list that many things about myself, but I’ll give you a brief review. I will also be listing some of my favorite blogs for nomination, but again…I’m sure I won’t be at the required number. I am somewhat of a blog snob and really only follow those that truly touch me on a personal level. I do plan on going on a blog hunt soon though due to the fact that my interests are ever evolving. Anyway, I will be nominating those that I think most deserve the awards, not just listing a required number of blogs. I’m such a rebel! 🙂

About me (in a very random order): The older I get, the more I am able to ignore the negativity in this world. I believe that if you’re not part of the solution to a problem, then your input is simply not necessary. I love staring into my dog’s face, wondering what she’s thinking. I have reverted back to a semi hippie stage and am once again spending my days barefoot. My mother is turning 70 this year and instead of a big party, we are sending her on a scavenger hunt where she will find old friends, gifts from far away relatives and memories. I am a cheese-o-holic. In every way. I still disco when I dance. Alone in my kitchen. 🙂

And now for those wonderful blogs I’ve mentioned… I will list them here, along with the awards that I am nominating them for:

  1. Re-Creations Project ~ Beautiful Blogger Award. Truly inspiring to me!
  2. apostaday ~ One Lovely Blog Award. Fun blog!
  3. rona black photography ~ Inspiring Blog Award. Beautiful images!
  4. Putney Farm ~ Beautiful Blogger Award. Food, farmin’, recipes. What’s not to love?
  5. Greenhousing ~ One Lovely Blog Award. Following the adventures of a small garden.
  6. Oldentime’s Blog ~ Inspiring Blog Award. A “little bit of everything” blog.
  7. Lightly Crunchy ~ Beautiful Blogger Award. Truly one of my faves.
  8. The Seattle Cook ~ One Lovely Blog Award. A great cooking blog.
  9. The Renegade Seamstress ~ Inspiring Blog Award. Amazing ideas and creations!
  10. My Sister’s Pantry ~ Beautiful Blogger Award. A wonderful food blog.

And due to the fact that it’s summer…I will stop there. I once again want to thank coffeepowered mom and Spontaneous Tomato for honoring me with the nominations. It means so much to me! Happy blogging everyone!

About finefrugality

I am a wife, mother, business owner, farmer, foster parent, retired probation officer and so much more. :-) I love to save money any way I can. I just don’t see the sense in handing my cash over to someone else when I don’t have to. I coupon, I grow and can food, I reuse and repurpose items, I scour thrift stores and during the warmer months, my Saturday mornings consist of yard sales and our local farmer’s market with my husband. I have organized local meetings which include coupon swaps, barter clubs and swap meets. Here is where I begin to share this life with the rest of the world. This is Fine Frugality. Because being frugal is not only fine. It is FINE.
