Unique Gift Wrapping Idea

I don’t know about you, but I love to add a little bit of the unexpected when it comes time to gift giving. I recently found this site that will make Search-A-Word puzzles that include words of your choice.

I plugged in the names of family members, along with holiday related words and simply hit the “create” button. And there it was! The best part is the fact that they also provide the solution that you can print out and refer to later.

I transferred mine to Microsoft Word so that I could change the font, the size of the letters and the darkness. I then printed it out on the paper of my choice. You can wrap small gifts in the paper (just make sure the recipient’s name is on the front), or simply secure it to the front of your gift for the kids to solve later! If you’d like to make your own, you can do so here.  I’m so glad I found this, I’m sure it will be a big hit this holiday season!

About finefrugality

I am a wife, mother, business owner, farmer, foster parent, retired probation officer and so much more. :-) I love to save money any way I can. I just don’t see the sense in handing my cash over to someone else when I don’t have to. I coupon, I grow and can food, I reuse and repurpose items, I scour thrift stores and during the warmer months, my Saturday mornings consist of yard sales and our local farmer’s market with my husband. I have organized local meetings which include coupon swaps, barter clubs and swap meets. Here is where I begin to share this life with the rest of the world. This is Fine Frugality. Because being frugal is not only fine. It is FINE.

    This is a great idea!

I am considering having a “mystery” Christmas theme in a couple years (Yes, I start thinking way ahead of time!) and this would make for great wrapping paper for such a thing! Also good for birthdays….

Thank you so much for this idea!

  2. I love this idea. My oldest kid is addicted to search a words. Thanks!

  3. That’s a great idea! I’ve made crosswords online before, you could try to incorporate those as well if you feel so inclined 😀
