A Little Money-Saver For The Upcoming Holidays

I don’t know about you, but I do everything I can to save money during the holidays. I make a lot of my own home decor, give out homemade gifts and attend cookie swaps just to name a few.

Doing those things helps me balance my budget a bit, allowing me to shop online for some of those items that I just can’t find locally. When I shop online, I make sure to use the eBates site. That way, when I shop I’m also earning money to use later!

Here’s how it works. Sign up for a free eBates membership. You automatically get a $10 gift card (you can choose which one you’d like mailed to you). So already you’ve earned money just for signing up! Then, each time you shop online…do so through the eBates site. You will then earn a percentage of your purchase back in cash! There are thousands of sites to choose from and I’ll bet all of your favorites are there.

There are always specials in which you can earn double cash back. For instance, right now you can earn 6% of your order back when you shop Land’s End. Nice! Are you a Walmart shoopper? Earn 2% cash back and have the item shipped to your local store. No shipping charges!

Not only do you earn money for shopping, but they now have a refer-a-friend program that helps you earn as well. The savings never stop!

I’ve been a fan of this site for years and highly recommend it to help you stay frugal…not just during the holiday season, but always. What are you waiting for? Start that shopping! Head to eBates right now and sign up. You can thank me later. 🙂

About finefrugality

I am a wife, mother, business owner, farmer, foster parent, retired probation officer and so much more. :-) I love to save money any way I can. I just don’t see the sense in handing my cash over to someone else when I don’t have to. I coupon, I grow and can food, I reuse and repurpose items, I scour thrift stores and during the warmer months, my Saturday mornings consist of yard sales and our local farmer’s market with my husband. I have organized local meetings which include coupon swaps, barter clubs and swap meets. Here is where I begin to share this life with the rest of the world. This is Fine Frugality. Because being frugal is not only fine. It is FINE.

  1. How did I not know about this? I haven’t set foot in a mall in years, opting to buy online and ship direct to my out of state friends and family. Will definitely check it out!
