I Scored Some Great Savings!

Yesterday, I ventured out on some errands and decided to do some hardcore bargain hunting. I’m happy to report that I am a terrific hunter. 🙂 Here’s what I got…

From CVS:

  • 2 bottles of Softsoap
  • 1 Speedstick deodorant
  • 2 18-packs of Scott bathroom tissue
  • 1 case of bottled water (24 pack)
  • 1 tube Colgate toothpaste
  • 1 bottle Wish laundry detergent
  • 2 Suave deodorants

Between manufacturer’s coupons, sales, Extra Care Bucks and a gift card I got for free after transferring a prescription…my grand total was…$3.20!! Yay!! I saved $50.86!!

I skipped out of CVS and headed to Dollar General where I scored a ton of seeding supplies for next year, all at 70% off. I also got a nice supply of packing tape at 50% off. I ended up with all of this for around 20 bucks:

What a great savings day! I still don’t see why most people don’t use coupons or seek out great sales. Baffles my mind!

About finefrugality

I am a wife, mother, business owner, farmer, foster parent, retired probation officer and so much more. :-) I love to save money any way I can. I just don’t see the sense in handing my cash over to someone else when I don’t have to. I coupon, I grow and can food, I reuse and repurpose items, I scour thrift stores and during the warmer months, my Saturday mornings consist of yard sales and our local farmer’s market with my husband. I have organized local meetings which include coupon swaps, barter clubs and swap meets. Here is where I begin to share this life with the rest of the world. This is Fine Frugality. Because being frugal is not only fine. It is FINE.

  2. Wow, good for you that’s a huge savings! I love when people say coupons and deals aren’t worth their time… that’s ok we’ll take em then! Money is better left in our bank accounts! Cheers Mr.CBB
