Farm Pics

With the heat being so bad last week, I decided on some down time and took some pictures around the farm. Thought I’d share. First is my bargain rose bush. While at Aldi’s shopping one day, I came across these pathetic rose bushes in the clearance bin, marked down to $1.99 each. I couldn’t see them tossed, so I took them to the farm. We planted them next to the barn and hoped for the best. Sure enough, one of them gave us a rose. The other has one nice green sprout on it, and we’re thinking that it may still make it!

Here are some of the things we saw when we took an early morning walk after the heat broke a tad:

And lastly, here’s two pictures that I took while trying to play with some depth. The lack of rain has at least given us some beautiful sunsets!

About finefrugality

I am a wife, mother, business owner, farmer, foster parent, retired probation officer and so much more. :-) I love to save money any way I can. I just don’t see the sense in handing my cash over to someone else when I don’t have to. I coupon, I grow and can food, I reuse and repurpose items, I scour thrift stores and during the warmer months, my Saturday mornings consist of yard sales and our local farmer’s market with my husband. I have organized local meetings which include coupon swaps, barter clubs and swap meets. Here is where I begin to share this life with the rest of the world. This is Fine Frugality. Because being frugal is not only fine. It is FINE.
