Talk About Inflation!

Gee….maybe it’s NOT cheaper to preserve your own food. 🙂

Good thing I stopped at the thrift store on my way to Walmart, where I found these tall, lean, beautiful jars. I got six for $2.00. Sure beats the price at Walmart! hahahaha

Side note: When did they start packaging pillow cases individually? I saw a display and thought “oh, that’s a pretty good deal” … until I saw that it was for only one pillowcase. Tricky those marketing people are!

About finefrugality

I am a wife, mother, business owner, farmer, foster parent, retired probation officer and so much more. :-) I love to save money any way I can. I just don’t see the sense in handing my cash over to someone else when I don’t have to. I coupon, I grow and can food, I reuse and repurpose items, I scour thrift stores and during the warmer months, my Saturday mornings consist of yard sales and our local farmer’s market with my husband. I have organized local meetings which include coupon swaps, barter clubs and swap meets. Here is where I begin to share this life with the rest of the world. This is Fine Frugality. Because being frugal is not only fine. It is FINE.

I used to buy the ‘large’ size of many products, you know 3 pounds of coff. that is now 22 ounces. The odd thing is the package is the same size, it costs more and I have to purchase more often. Does that make any sense?

  2. Neat jars. And a big oops for Wallyworld.

    Ha ha! Classic!!!

  5. $160 is ridiculous unless those jars never empty once you fill them. The holy grail of all jars, if you will. Hahaha.
