May De-Clutter Challenge ~ Junk Drawer

I’ll admit it…I thought about blowing it off. I did NOT want to tackle the junk drawer. But, I DID. Let me tell you, there were things in there that I didn’t even know what they were! There were even items that were purchased at the store Value City…how long have they been out of business? So here’s what the beast of a junk drawer looked like before:

And here it is after:

I never knew we had so many batteries! Now they are all sorted by size. That way, I can tell which ones we need. I’m happy with the results. And I’m glad I did it. Just say NO to procrastination!

About finefrugality

I am a wife, mother, business owner, farmer, foster parent, retired probation officer and so much more. :-) I love to save money any way I can. I just don’t see the sense in handing my cash over to someone else when I don’t have to. I coupon, I grow and can food, I reuse and repurpose items, I scour thrift stores and during the warmer months, my Saturday mornings consist of yard sales and our local farmer’s market with my husband. I have organized local meetings which include coupon swaps, barter clubs and swap meets. Here is where I begin to share this life with the rest of the world. This is Fine Frugality. Because being frugal is not only fine. It is FINE.

I did not make it today…I don’t have a junk drawer any more. I guess I could have gone out and cleared on of the drawers in Hubby’s tool shed… but that sounded more ‘worky’ than I wanted to be.
I went out with a friend instead and had a lovely afternoon!

    • Your day was better than mine! Doctor appointment with blood work and cleaning out a junk drawer? Yep, you got this! hahahaha Glad you had fun. Gal pal time for me tomorrow!

  2. I am so jealous of your battery collection!
