Farm Weekend

What a weekend we had! We worked our tails off at the farm. It ended up that I did not have time to go through my spices today, but I’m sure I’ll get to it before canning season. I thought I’d share some of the sights we had this weekend while at the farm:

Our dog Sadie loves to jump in the pond and take a swim when she’s feeling the heat. I think I scared the big ol’ black snake while I was trying to get a picture and all of the chives are flowering.

The rhododendron bushes are starting to flower, we are putting together some more raised beds and the sunset on the way home tonight was beautiful. You’ve just had the express tour of our weekend. 🙂

During the winter months, I tend to forget just how hard it is to maintain two houses at once. We shuffle food back and forth, have to make sure the “farm shoes” are at the farm and not at home, assure that each place is stocked with basic necessities and don’t even get me started about trying to keep two houses clean! Let the crazy season begin!

About finefrugality

I am a wife, mother, business owner, farmer, foster parent, retired probation officer and so much more. :-) I love to save money any way I can. I just don’t see the sense in handing my cash over to someone else when I don’t have to. I coupon, I grow and can food, I reuse and repurpose items, I scour thrift stores and during the warmer months, my Saturday mornings consist of yard sales and our local farmer’s market with my husband. I have organized local meetings which include coupon swaps, barter clubs and swap meets. Here is where I begin to share this life with the rest of the world. This is Fine Frugality. Because being frugal is not only fine. It is FINE.
