May De-Clutter Challenge ~ Kitchen Cupboards

Today’s challenge was actually timed pretty well. My kitchen cupboards at home are in  darn good shape. I organized them about 6 months ago and they have stayed in order. We spent the majority of our day at the farm today. The farm has very little cupboard space, so we don’t have much stored there. Just enough to make some emergency meals and some canning supplies  for when the garden starts producing. I was able to steal a few minutes and throw out some outdated food and do a bit of rearranging. Here’s how they look now:

Tomorrow we will be at the farm too….lots and lots of garden work to get accomplished! Since my spices at home are in good shape (actually alphabetized even!) I’ll try to make more sense of the ones at the farm. Right now, they are all piled up into a basket. Keeping my fingers crossed that I get a few minutes to do that, it will help when canning season is here.

About finefrugality

I am a wife, mother, business owner, farmer, foster parent, retired probation officer and so much more. :-) I love to save money any way I can. I just don’t see the sense in handing my cash over to someone else when I don’t have to. I coupon, I grow and can food, I reuse and repurpose items, I scour thrift stores and during the warmer months, my Saturday mornings consist of yard sales and our local farmer’s market with my husband. I have organized local meetings which include coupon swaps, barter clubs and swap meets. Here is where I begin to share this life with the rest of the world. This is Fine Frugality. Because being frugal is not only fine. It is FINE.

This is one I keep up with! Got it covered!

    • I know, me too! I was happy that it fell on the weekend since we were at the farm. I didn’t feel guilty that way if I didn’t get to it. My kitchen cupboards and my pantries are my babies. No one else goes into them to muck them up! hahaha
