Monday Grocery Report

So here it is Monday again, and that means it’s grocery day. I did pretty well and stayed under budget. Due to the fact that we are leaving for a mini vacation later in the week, I decided to grab some things for the pantry and keep the normal budget. Here’s what I got:

  • 8 pack Sparkle paper towels (pantry item)
  • 12 pack Small Steps bath tissue (pantry item)
  • 4 boxes Kellogg’s cereal (2 for the pantry)
  • 2 taco kits (pantry item)
  • DelMonte individual pear cups
  • 2 cans Hormel turkey chili (pantry item)
  • 2 cans Full Circle tomato paste (pantry item)
  • 1 can Chicken of the Sea tuna (pantry item)
  • 2 packs Perdue chicken breast (froze one)
  • 1 package turkey lunch meat
  • 1 package Kraft Fresh Take
  • 2 packs Arnold sandwich thins (froze one)
  • 1 bottle International Delight coffee creamer
  • 1 pack shaved beef
  • 1 pack round steaks
  • 1 bunch bananas
  • 1 bag organic carrots
  • 1 loaf wheat bread
  • 1 package organic baby greens

Total spent: $48.79     Total saved: $47.95 (49%)

Not bad. I’m glad I was able to squeeze in those pantry items this week and still not go over my $50 budget. That helps immensely in the long run. Thanks for shopping with me today!

About finefrugality

I am a wife, mother, business owner, farmer, foster parent, retired probation officer and so much more. :-) I love to save money any way I can. I just don’t see the sense in handing my cash over to someone else when I don’t have to. I coupon, I grow and can food, I reuse and repurpose items, I scour thrift stores and during the warmer months, my Saturday mornings consist of yard sales and our local farmer’s market with my husband. I have organized local meetings which include coupon swaps, barter clubs and swap meets. Here is where I begin to share this life with the rest of the world. This is Fine Frugality. Because being frugal is not only fine. It is FINE.
