March Foodie Photo-A-Day Challenge ~ Favorite Food

Picking a favorite food is very hard for me. I’m a foodie. I love so many foods! There’s pasta, Reuben sandwiches, anything with spinach, baked artichokes with mozzarella cheese…see what I mean? But those foods, I can buy or create any time.

Corn on the cob, that’s a different story. The season to get great corn on the cob is so short! When corn is in season I could seriously eat it every day. My favorite lunch in late summer is an ear of corn with sliced veggies. I mean, come on! How could you resist? This picture was taken after I made some chili-lime butter to mix it up a bit. Picture it: hot corn on the cob smothered in chili-lime butter along side some fresh sliced tomatoes and avocados all topped with fresh cracked pepper. Yeah baby! Now THAT’s summer!

About finefrugality

I am a wife, mother, business owner, farmer, foster parent, retired probation officer and so much more. :-) I love to save money any way I can. I just don’t see the sense in handing my cash over to someone else when I don’t have to. I coupon, I grow and can food, I reuse and repurpose items, I scour thrift stores and during the warmer months, my Saturday mornings consist of yard sales and our local farmer’s market with my husband. I have organized local meetings which include coupon swaps, barter clubs and swap meets. Here is where I begin to share this life with the rest of the world. This is Fine Frugality. Because being frugal is not only fine. It is FINE.
