Today’s Thrift Store Finds

I stopped at the local thrift store today on my way home from a doctor’s appointment and found a few treasures. I know I’ve posted before about my love of vintage dishes, but I just have to say it again. I LOVE them! Here are the lovelies that came home with me today:

Aren’t they fabulous? I love the stamp on the fork “Maid of Honor” Stainless Steel. Let me tell you, they don’t make them like this anymore. This one is nice and heavy! The plate is actually quite large, so I’ll use it as a serving plate. Doesn’t it just scream spring? The casserole dish is ultra mini. It will be amazing for personal pot pies or french onion soup. My grand total for all three items? A whopping 75 cents. Frugal is FUN!

About finefrugality

I am a wife, mother, business owner, farmer, foster parent, retired probation officer and so much more. :-) I love to save money any way I can. I just don’t see the sense in handing my cash over to someone else when I don’t have to. I coupon, I grow and can food, I reuse and repurpose items, I scour thrift stores and during the warmer months, my Saturday mornings consist of yard sales and our local farmer’s market with my husband. I have organized local meetings which include coupon swaps, barter clubs and swap meets. Here is where I begin to share this life with the rest of the world. This is Fine Frugality. Because being frugal is not only fine. It is FINE.

  1. Great finds! My personal collecting oddity is sheet sets from the 70s. Good heavy cotton and funky designs that remind me of sleepovers at grandma’s house.
