Subtle Clues From Your Body

You know that thing they call “gut instinct”? The fact that your body is telling you something? I believe that your body talks to you all the time. It yawns when it’s sleepy. It growls when it’s hungry, it demonstrates cool art projects when it’s injured (I once had a burn that you could read. Really.) and it oozes when it’s sick.

But there are other signs, signals and clues that it gives you every day. What about those goosebumps when you feel like you’re not alone? Or those butterflies in your belly when you’re going to see someone special? The sweaty palms when you’re about to do something that you know you shouldn’t? Our bodies are really very intelligent and we should respect what they have to say, whether we agree with them at the time or not. For instance:

I’m thinking that one of the first signs that it’s time to hit the gym would be the fact that your arms are sore from coloring your own hair. Don’t ask how I know this.

About finefrugality

I am a wife, mother, business owner, farmer, foster parent, retired probation officer and so much more. :-) I love to save money any way I can. I just don’t see the sense in handing my cash over to someone else when I don’t have to. I coupon, I grow and can food, I reuse and repurpose items, I scour thrift stores and during the warmer months, my Saturday mornings consist of yard sales and our local farmer’s market with my husband. I have organized local meetings which include coupon swaps, barter clubs and swap meets. Here is where I begin to share this life with the rest of the world. This is Fine Frugality. Because being frugal is not only fine. It is FINE.

  1. I was thinking the same thing about needing to go to the gym when I was trying to braid my own hair and my arms were getting tired! The body really is amazing at showing us signs. If only we would all just listen more closely to all the signs!!
