It’s not a big surprise. It was the next logical step. To blog is to share your thoughts, your feelings, your opinions….your world. (Well, at least the parts you decide to crop and paste) I’ve started so many new adventures in the last several years, that I thought I might as well share.
I’m a retired probation officer, married to a current probation officer. Our children grew up overnight and are starting lives of their own. We are foster parents for delinquent youth and own a farm as our second home. The farm will be our primary home (hopefully) in a few years. We have quite a diverse life going on here in Central Pennsylvania and are loving it.
I love to save money any way I can. I just don’t see the sense in handing my cash over to someone else when I don’t have to. I coupon, I grow and can food, I reuse and repurpose items, I scour thrift stores and during the warmer months, my Saturday mornings consist of yard sales and our local farmer’s market with my husband. I have organized local meetings which include coupon swaps, barter clubs and swap meets.
I truly enjoy the simple things that the world has to offer for my amusement. I am a true “Mamma Bear” and will fight to the bitter end to protect my children. I am a partner with my husband and can’t think of anything more comforting than being by his side at the end of the day.
Here is where I begin to share this life with the rest of the world. This is Fine Frugality. Because being frugal is not only fine. It is FINE.
